Today marks the 50th anniversary of the first Pride March held in New York City on June 28th, 1970. The march itself was meant to honor the Stonewall uprising that took place a year prior and inspired hundreds of Pride parades

In continuing about intersectionality and the celebration of Pride Month, here is some factual information and statistics about Black LGBTQ mental health in the United States.

Everyone should be held accountable for their actions and be open to criticism... normalize changing your opinion when you are presented with new information! If someone corrects you, listen, appreciate and respect them. If you are correcting someone
Voting is a privilege. Saying “just vote!” won’t solve any problems. Voting is incredibly important, but we must address voter ID laws, voter suppression and disenfranchisement!
